Why WaterAid
We work with communities to install water and sanitation systems that are locally-owned and maintained. Our approach is led by the specific needs of the community. Once we have established a pilot project, we work with neighboring communities, districts and local officials to scale up our efforts.
This allows us to reach more people at a faster rate. Trust is at the core of our work and this is how we integrate hygiene education and maintenance plans into our projects.
