Why WaterAid?
We were founded in 1981 and work in 25 countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America.
We work with communities to install water and sanitation systems that are locally-owned and maintained.
Our approach is led by the specific needs of the community. Once we have established a pilot project, we work with neighboring communities and local officials to scale our work. This allows us to reach more people at a faster rate.
